Timothy Allyn papers, 1840-1868.

Assorted correspondence, bills and receipts of Timothy Allyn, landowner, businessman and one time mayor of Hartford, Connecticut. One letter was a thank you note for sending a piece of the Charter Oak for use on the USS Hartford, 1859. He also received a letter from his son Joseph P. Allyn who was in Detroit, and a letter asking the mayor to appoint Patrick Dillon as special constable. Bills and receipts are from various Hartford businesses.
